Mid-Atlantic K9 is committed to keeping families and their 4 legged best friends together.

We only offer private sessions at first to all new customers. We do not like to offer group sessions at first because of the competing motivators other dogs present. Our training philosophy is geared to get the entire family involved in the training. Our initial session lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, and we like to have everyone that has contact with the dog to be present. Consistency and Timing are the two most important things we speak of when training dogs. This initial session is to observe the dog in his/her most normal state of mind when inside their domain.

Whether it be a new puppy learning proper pack behavior manners, dealing with behavioral issues, i.e. aggression or fearfulness, or just fine tuning your dogs obedience we will ensure you take something away. At the end of each session, we make sure everyone knows and understands what needs to be done to initiate change in the dogs behavior. Training will be done in steps so that you can more easily see progress. From this point, the number of sessions needed is very dependent upon the commitment of the family and owner. We ask that everyone comes to training with an open mind. All methods and equipment will be explained in detail prior to any application.
